Vint Hargrave is the Founder and President of Hired Guns LLC. Vint leads the team with his extensive experience in the Land Surveying field, offering over 38 years of experience in all aspects of field to finish surveying and construction staking, including instrument operation, record-keeping, survey calculations, and plans interpretation. He is a personable, physically fit, detail-oriented and a highly self-motivated individual. His experiences and success demonstrate proven leadership, crew support, project management, client relations, organization and problem-solving skills.

Key experience includes, oilfield and pipeline, residential subdivisions, commercial, heavy commercial, highway roads, mountain surveying, high-rise, and electrical transmission lines.

Extensive experience in, estimating, assigning, prioritizing, scheduling and managing the activities of field crews.

Full scope of experience and thorough knowledge of, the principles, practices and procedures of ALTA surveys, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, construction staking, as-built surveys, and business development.

Proficient technical skills in, the operation and maintenance of RTK GPS system and robotic gear, a variety of surveying software, complex precision surveying instruments and equipment, and ACAD drafting and calculation.

Rob has over thirty years’ experience in the land surveying and land development fields resulting in extensive technical and regulatory knowledge of land surveying, land development, construction surveying, mining surveying, right-of-way and land use issues utilizing state-of-the art field and office equipment.

Rob is a hands on surveyor that splits his time between the office and field. This boots on the ground methodology keeps the primary survey decision maker completely abreast of all the evidence necessary to make informed judgements on all projects. Rob has a comprehensive background of boundary, legal description, platting, topographic mapping, digital terrain modeling, GPS control surveys, right-of-way, mining, ALTA and construction layout. His Civil Engineering education from the University of Arizona gives him a unique perspective to understand what is required from a design context.

Team Technical Leader

Ralph’s knowledge and experience in the construction industry for the past 31 years has developed an exceptional skill set including, but not limited to, civil engineering (water, sewer, and drainage design), land surveying (GPS and conventional methods, boundary, topographic, and construction staking), personnel management (survey crew manager), computer aided drafting, earthwork project management /estimation, Trimble & Topcon GPS machine control and rover systems (operation, installation, troubleshooting, and sales), and UAV photogrammetry.

Doug is a relentless problem solver. The son of a civil engineer and land surveyor, he grew up working on survey crews for his dad’s company. While in the Air Force, Doug followed the exponential growth of unmanned vehicles, and as a customer of their data, knew that civilian market was set to explode. Following his entrepreneurial instincts, he founded a company sponsored by ASU and set about to change the surveying world.

He is an unmanned systems and close-range photogrammetry expert and thought leader. Frequent guest speaker on UAS enterprise systems and technical advisor to multiple surveying, engineering and construction companies. Professionally trained or self taught in all domains required for exceptional results in UAS surveying – photography, photogrammetry, UAS design & operations, surveying, and geomatics. He is a USAF Senior Pilot, with over 5500 Air Force flight hours, of which over 2500 is in the Boeing Business Jet (C-40) flying the Vice President, Secretary of State, Secretary of Defense, First Lady, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Congress, and other high ranking officials on nofail global diplomatic missions. Managed several multi-million dollar projects on behalf of the US Government. Designed Risk Management program for USAF VIP operations. Wrote the aviation standards and regulations that regulate the USAF senior leader transport program. Certified as an aircraft mishap inspector and safety officer. He held highest aviation credentials attainable in USAF.
